The Problem
The client had previously attempted multiple times to request the original paper title for their property from the bank, but was repeatedly informed that the document was not held there and was advised to contact the land titles office. This repeated back-and-forth without success, left the client uncertain of how to obtain their original paper Certificate of Title.
Results of the case
After attending my seminar “Reclaim Your Land Title” in Rowville Victoria, the client applied my guidance, including specific key phrases in a new email request to the bank. With my assistance, this approach yielded a swift response. The bank located and delivered the original paper Certificate of Title within days.

The Problem
The client faced a challenge in retrieving 11 property titles for their farm from their bank, with these titles still under mortgage. The expectation was that paper titles held by banks under mortgage would not be accessible, complicating the process of obtaining all original documents.

Converting Digital Titles to Paper Titles

The client wanted to convert their electronic Certificates of Title (eCT) for two properties to paper Certificates of Title (pCT) and have the paper titles in hand. However, the client's solicitor insisted such a conversion was impossible.

I advised them of effective communication strategies, even crafting follow-up emails to ensure clarity and prompt action from solicitors, banks, and conveyancers. Thanks to my persistence and insight, the user successfully obtained paper titles for both properties, achieving a goal they’d been told was unattainable.

I was lucky to be invited to an information night with Ben McMahon about all things concerning Land Titles, in June of this year. Ben’s presentation was clear, detailed and understandable for those of us with little legal or financial knowledge.
There was a lot of information because the topic is a complicated one that changes from state to state, and from title to title, depending on the individual circumstances.
I wanted to convert my electronic Certificates of Title to paper, and get the paper Certificates of Title in my hands. There were 2 properties involved.

One property was plain sailing. For the second title I was told it was not possible. Ben was expecting this and quickly sent me through a follow up email to send to them. Magically, it became possible and I now hold the paper title for the 2 properties.
